The main purpose of education is always to make an individual grow his/her skills through the gained knowledge. Apart from education one should possess communication skills, soft skills and technical skills to get better job opportunities in future.so in order to face an increased competence in the professional world one should acquire Language skills and computer skills. 

Keeping the changes that are taking place in the job market, Government of Andhra Pradesh introduced Jawahar Knowledge Centers (JKC) in the year 2005 with a view to enhance the employment capabilities of the students by imparting career development skills like Communication, Computer and Soft skills to the Under graduate students. The doors of global job market are opened to students who can speak fluently, compute quickly, write legibly and analyze logically.

In our college JKC was established in the year -2013. Our JKC team works to impart Soft skills, communication skills, Technical skills, Analytical skills to enable the students to secure employment in reputed companies/Industries.

Objectives:

ï‚· To impart requisite skills relevant for dynamic job market and to enable students to seize employment opportunities.

To help students realize their potentiality.

ï‚· To motivate students to be creative, independent and self-reliant.

ï‚· To provide opportunities to the students of weaker and marginalized sections.

ï‚· To build up confidence levels among the students.

ï‚· Providing job opportunities to those students who do not wish for higher studies after completion of their course.

ï‚· To conduct Job Melas & Campus drives and to facilitate the placements for trained students..

JKC Activities

JKC in association with Language club organizes various activities like Mock interview, Elocution, Quiz, Elocution, Creative writing, Debate, Role play ,PPT presentation, Student seminar etc., to enhance the students’ skills such as Personality enrichment, Interview skills, Soft skills and Communication skills etc. Mock Interview is useful in viewing one’s answers to common interview questions and assessing other factors such as one’s outfit, mannerisms and body language. Elocution Competition is useful for sentence formation, articulation and pronunciation of speech. It helps students to exhibit their oratory skills. It helps students to develop their self-expression and confidence. Quiz competition evaluates the knowledge of the students with in academics as well as beyond academics. Essay writing competition encourages and enhances critical thinking, creative thinking and helps in organizing thoughts and improve communication skills. Drawing competition is to encourage creative expressions. The basic purpose of organizing PPT competition is to inculcate and boost the corporate communication, develop the public speaking, encourage self-learning among the students. To inculcate teaching skills among students Student Seminars and peer teaching is encouraged.
