Games and sports are very important for human life. It makes us fit, active, fresh, and social. They teach us a lesson of coordination and discipline. In this way games and sports not only freshen the mind but improve the internal strength of the body, making digestion good. Importance of Games and Sports

There is a great importance of games and sports in our life. The games make active and healthy and health is true wealth. Our body is like a machine and it helps to run a  machine smoothly by providing it with proper exercise and strength. They teach us team spirit also. The importance of games and sports in maintaining our physical as well as mental health. They teach us cooperation In games, the player thinks for the whole team.

The players develop the spirit of self-sacrifice. Games and sports also help in increasing the IQ of students and the ability of the mind. Young and interested people can have a bright carrier in the sports profession too. Participation in sports is helpful for everyone. We must regularly take part in at least one sport to stay fit and fine. Teachers and parents should also encourage children to participate in sports.

Games and Sports – Types

Mainly the games are of two types namely indoor games and outdoor games. People can choose any type of game from them as per their choice and convenience. We are going to discuss both types of games in detail here.

1. Indoor Games

Indoor games mean the games which are played in the rooms or inside the home example carrom, cards, chess, Ludo etc. are the most common. The indoor games help us to practice essential cognitive skills and enhance the parts of the brain responsible for complex thought and strategic planning. It is mostly preferred by all age groups people as it takes less distance and equipment to play.

2. Outdoor Games

Outdoor games means the type of games that can be played only in the open place and playgrounds example  Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kho-Kho, Tennis, Volleyball, Kabaddi, etc. These games are most important for students and young people. Outdoor games like Football, Basketball, Running, Hockey, and Volleyball build the physical stamina of a person. It is more beneficial as compared to indoor games to get a strong and healthy body.
